This is a very interesting historical pictorial map that captures the beginning of what would become World War 2 as Hitler invaded Poland on 1st September 1939.
In a newspaper style key events are covered with photographs from January 1939 until December 1939. Events include Mussolini's invasion of Albania 7th April, the signing of the German-Russian non-aggression pact 21st August, Prime Minister Chamberlain meets French Premier Daladier on 3rd September as war is declared and an attempted assassination of Hitler on November 8th plus much more.
This would be a superb gift for anybody with a keen interest in World War 2.
