This wonderful piece of Liverpool created by John Tallis and John Rapkin shows a detailed map of from 1851 of one of the world's most wealthiest cities. Liverpool was a gateway to the Americas and the entry point of cotton and other raw materials to the industrialized cotton mills of Northern England. The wealth of the city is portrayed by the grand Victorian architecture that may be viewed throughout the city. The grandeur of public art works were there for all to see in this burgeoning city of opportunity.

This piece has been digitally cleaned in order to remove blemishes and most signs of ageing but keeps the look, feel and integrity of the original.
