This fascinating, comprehensive and detailed map of Scotland published in 1854 was created by W and AK Johnston. It combines a geological chart detailing the different rocks and strata around this land along with a Palaeontological study of the creatures that once slithered around and swam in the oceans of Scotland.
Although I have digitally cleaned this piece I have decided to keep in certain signs of aging to maintain the look, feel and authenticity of the original map. I believe that this adds character and makes the overall product more pleasing to the eye.
