Old GASTRONOMIC Map of FRANCE by Alain Bourguignon Paris Bordeaux

This fascinating work "Carte Gastronomique et Vinicole de la France" was created by Alain Bourguignon in 1932. This map shows the culinary specialties, productions, agricultural cultures, wines and champagnes, beers, fish, and the gastronomic heritage of all regions of mainland France. This is a study of the culinary delights, drinks, the art of food, the importance of food in French culture and the geography that aids such produce. Paris is marked as the centre of the gastronomic world on this map.

There is also a key showing the vintages of Bordeaux and also the vintages of the "water of life" that is Cognac.

This map is sure to be of intertest to any budding chefs, people with an interest in good food and an appreciation of the importance of French cuisine. It is also very pleasing to the eye with its complementary use of colour and detailing all mainland French provinces.

This is an immense work and truly fascinating. It is sure to form an interesting conversation piece in any living room and would look stunning framed. Although I do not offer this map in a framed option I am happy help and make suggestions about possible frame options.
