This superb work was based on the original map produced by Frenchman Jean/John Rocque (c.1704–1762). Rocque spent six years living in Dublin between 1754 and 1760 during which he produced this stunning map which was created on four separate sheets. A revision of John's print was undertaken by Mr Bernard in 1773 which made additions and improvements to the original map. I have seamlessly recreated this work into a single new print.
Join us and stroll along the streets of Old Dublin don't forget to call at Trinity College, the Castle, the Custom House, St Stephen's Green and watch the River Liffey meander through this beautiful city.
I have undertaken a light digital clean to mask certain age-related blemishes but it remains faithful to the original map
This beautiful much sought-after antique reproduction looks stunning mounted and forms a striking centrepiece to any room.
