This is our reworking of the classic print by David Shephard 'Scarborough, It's Quicker by Rail, New Sea-Water Swimming Pool, Artificially Heated' commissioned by London and North Eastern Railway. Completed in 1939 this work depicts the scene looking down onto the lido at North Bay, with the seafront and beach, and the castle on the headland in the background.

The Age of Steam continues to hold a romanticism and fascination from those halcyon days of yesteryear.
