DAVID HOCKNEY Exclusive Photo Mosaic Tribute Print (unframed)

This project is a tribute to a great Bradfordian, Yorkshireman and human being whose creative genius shone out over many decades and over the continents. David Hockney (9 July 1937 – 11 June 2026) was an English painter, stage designer, and photographer. As an important contributor to the pop art movement of the 1960s, he is considered one of the most influential British artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. Even in his later years he was still creating and grasped new technology creating digital prints on iPad.

This work creates a photomosaic of 36 mini prints including some of David's famous works Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures), Mr and Mrs Clark and Percy, A Bigger Splash and Sur la Terrasse. There are 5 portraits of David, 2 are photographic and 3 in other media. A portrait of Harry Styles, Hockney's Mum and Dad and one of Celia with Green Hat, a lady he painted numerous times. There are also prints of his beloved Yorkshire: Garrowby Hill, Saltaire, The Road to York Through Sledmere and even a rendition of Bradford (his birth place) for the cover of the 1989 telephone directory.

This piece is a unique opportunity to share and remember a truly great artist of 20th and 21st century.
