This stunning reproduction map of Rome was portrayed by Giovani Battista Nolli and Charles Nolli in 1748 with illustrations by Giovanni Battista Piranesi. The true beauty of the Eternal City is captured in this work that made and indeed makes Rome an architectural feast for the eyes. This work blends function with art. Sites of interest include Colosseum, St Peter's Basilica, Castel Sant'Angelo, and many many piazzas.
The piece is adorned by two wonderful cherubs in the upper corners and the lower is blessed with wonderful illustrations of St Peter's Basilica and façade of the Basilica di Santa Croce in Gerusalemme, the Trevi Fountain and Santa Maria Maggiore.
